HGCA Planting Survey Results
According to the HGCA in 2008 UK farmers planted the following:
* Wheat – 2,068,000 hectares (up 14.5 per cent)
* Spring Barley – 565,000 hectares (up 14.3 per cent)
* Winter Barley – 415,700 hectares (up 10 per cent)
* Oats – 131,500 hectares (up 3.4 per cent)
* Oilseed rape – 590,100 hectares (down 1.8 per cent)
