Walking past the local butchers this morning, who incidentally does the best rolled dry cured bacon I've tasted since I was a kid, and there's a sign outside saying:

Rare Breed Pork, 30lbs for £30!

Well, they will be rare if they keep killing & eating them won't they?

And a headline on the Farmers' Guardian website today:

Ministers vote for more humane killing of farm animals

What's the alternative? Ministers vote for more inhumane killing of farm animals?
