CORN
A 383,000 acre increase in planted corn acres from USDA’s Prospective Plantings report is forecasted by Allendale Inc.
This represents the second largest acreage since 1949’s 86.738 million acre figure.
3rd quarter corn usage, at 2.982 billion bushels, is a record for that quarter.
SOYBEANS
A 152,000 acre increase in soybean acres from USDA’s Prospective Plantings report is forecasted by Allendale Inc.
This represents the third largest soybean acres ever.
3rd quarter soybean usage of 708 million bushels is the largest usage for that quarter on record.
WHEAT
A 46,000 acre decline in wheat acreage from USDA’s March’s Prospective Plantings estimate is forecasted by Allendale Inc.
This is still the largest planted acres since 1998 when 65.821 million acres were planted.
4th quarter wheat usage of 453 million bushels is the largest since the 03/04 4th quarter usage of 474 million.
