EU Wheat Ends Slightly Lower
EU wheat futures closed modestly lower Tuesday with Paris November milling wheat ending down EUR0.25 at EUR144.25/tonne, and London November feed wheat trading down
GBP0.10 at GBP120.90/tonne.
The Mexican swine flu outbreak is keeping the trade on the defensive, despite widespread protestations that the disease cannot be spread by human consumption of pork.
Spring wheat plantings in the US are running well behind schedule, which is also mildly supportive.
Fairly widespread rains across the UK and France are bearish for EU wheat however.
