13/12/10 -- The Argentine authorities appear to have made taxation on grain exports so punitive that tax evasion has become a national pastime.

According to this report, the county's national tax agency says that four of Argentina's top ten grain exporters didn't pay a peso in income tax last year. Link here: Taxi!

Consequently the slippery Argies have signed a deal with China to attempt to clamp down on the issue via the backdoor.
